BC PRO 4

FEATURES
- Multiple battery charger with 4 units, performing an automatic 8-cycles charging algorithm.
- Tester of the battery on board.
- Printed report of the tests executed (optional).
- The standard kit includes 4 battery connectors with clamps.
Battery Charger:
- New charging algorithm performing 8 charging cycles: Initialization, Recovery, Soft Charge, Bulk Charge, Absorption/Desulfation (recovery of the Lead-Acid cells), Maintenance, Battery Analysis, Equalisation.
- The new algorithm makes the device ideal to initialize new Batteries as well as to recover/recharge used/exausted batteries.
- 4 indipendent and automatic units with microprocessor, to manage up to 4 batteries at the same time.
- 3 units with LED Bar + 1 unit with LCD display (digital Voltmeter).
- Diagnostics: real-time detection and communication of occurring anomalies.
Tester:
- The operator, in about 1 minute, can execute a complete test of the battery and the vehicle's recharging system, guided step-by-step by the instructions in scrolling on the display (user-tutoring device).
- Tests performed: Battery State-Of-Charge Test at rest, Battery Cranking Power Test (while cranking the engine), Alternator/Regulator Test.
FUNCTIONING
Battery Charger:
Functioning of the units with LED Bar
- Couple of Green/Red LEDs to indicate the cycle executed or occurring anomalies.
- LED Bar indicating the percentage of charge in real-time (50, 65, 80, 100%).
Functioning of the unit with LCD display
- In case of regular functioning, the LCD display shows the following messages:
“BATTERY IN ... CHARGE / ... ABSORP. / ... MAINTEN.” according to the charging cycle executed.
- In case of irregular functioning, the LCD display shows diagnostics messages.
Tester:
1. Battery State-Of-Charge Test at rest: it measures and computes the average battery voltage at rest; the outputs of this test are the following:
- average battery voltage at rest (range 5.0V .. 19.9V);
- estimate of the battery State-of-Charge parameter (range 0 .. 100%).
Battery Cranking Power Test (while cranking the engine) (Cranking Volts): it measures the minimum battery voltage during the engine Start-Up and the duration (in milliseconds) of the cranking itself. The result of the test will be one of the following evaluations: “Excellent”, “Good”, “Fair”, “Poor”.
3. Alternator/Regulator Test: it verifies the correct functioning of the vehicle's charging system. The test measures the average battery voltage as the engine is running (range 5.0V .. 19.9V). The result of the test will be an evaluation of the vehicle’s recharging system.
PRINT OF THE TEST RESULT
BC Pro 4 is provided with a serial port for the connection of a professional thermal printer (optional): as the testing procedure is completed, the printer issues a receipt reporting the test results and the date and the time of the test.
